The Conservative Party of Moldova will propose Zinaida Zorin, Chairman of the Chisinau territorial Organisation to run for the office of Chisinau Mayor, Chairman of the Party Natalia Nirca told a news conference on Tuesday, March 27. According to her, Zinaida Zorin is a reliable person, this is why the party decided she will represent it. Zorin is a teacher at the State Medical University “Nicolae Testemiteanu” and has public administration studies. According to Nirca, the party will also present a list of candidates for the Chisinau Municipal Council, as well as candidates in the settlements of Moldova who will be able to win, she says. Zinaida Zorin told the same news conference that she will have a responsible electoral campaign, which will convince voters she will be able to lead the City Hall and, together with the team, will solve the problems of the local public administration. According to her, the main goal is to boost welfare of Chisinau residents. Victor Baciu, one of the CP leaders said that all the politicians in Moldova compromised themselves since they did not keep their promises. In light of this situation CP has chances to take over the leadership of the country, in this case the Mayoralty’s, in order to start changing things. To date, several parties have already announced their candidates for the office of Chisinau Mayor. Liberal party proposes Dorin Chirtoaca, Democrat Party – Vlad Filat, Social-Democrat Party – Eduard Musuc. The Coordinating Counicl of the Chisinau Organisation of the National Liberal Party proposed the candidacy of the Party’s leader Vitalia Pavlicenco. Also, Chairman of the Association, Casa noastra Chisinau” (“Our Home Chisinau”) Oleg Oniscenco said he will run for mayor.
