The coniferous trees in the municipality of Chisinau will be guarded round-the-clock before and during the winter holidays, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Chisinau City Hall's Public Relations Division. Under an ordinance made by Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca, the Green Spaces Association will put five units of transport at the Chisinau General Police Commissariat's disposal for the purpose. During the winter holidays the previous years, there had been cut illegally many conifers. The culprits are liable to fines of up to several thousands lei.
