Setting the invalidity degree will become the object of a close monitoring by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and of the Republican Council for Medical Expertise of Vitality. This decision was taken at the meeting of the Security Supreme Council (SSC), as a necessary action in order to eliminate the massive falsification and the abuses found out in the national system of invalidity medical degree conferring. According to a press release of the Presidency, at the SSC meeting were discussed and approved several actions aimed to straighten out the situation in the area. Especially, these actions aim at changing the Regulations regarding the bodies of medical vitality expertise, and namely the strict delimitation of the hierarchy and their attribution, as well as the improvement of the normative acts in the area of invalidity assigning. Other tasks formulated in the SSC decision include the annual analysis and systematization by the specialized bodies of the legal provisions and ensuring the adequate sanctioning of the persons that falsify the medical files and attribute incorrectly the invalidity degree. At present, in the Republic of Moldova 151 thousand invalids are registered, of which 31 thousand in Chisinau municipality.
