Conference on countering corruption to be held in Chisinau
The second National practical-scientific conference will be held on December 9 in Chisinau by the Centre for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption (CCCEC). The event organized in cooperation with the European Council will have the topic “Progresses and perspectives in countering corruption.”
According to CCCEC, the purpose of the conference is to “analyze the progresses registered by public authorities and the civil society concerning the realization of the Anti-Corruption Action Plan for 2006, as well as to promote perspective medium term activities for 2007-2009”.
Local officials, representatives of the central public administration, of the higher education institutions and civil society will identify the means of combating corruption, including the help provided by the representatives of embassies and international bodies from the R. of Moldova, representatives of bodies specialized in preventing and countering corruption from countries involved in bilateral relations with the Centre – Baltic countries, Bulgaria, Romania, Russia and Ukraine.
The conference will be held in two sessions, the second one providing three workshops on preventing and countering corruption, and on international collaboration.
The Conference “Progresses and perspectives in countering corruption” will take place in the Republic Palace.
