The taxpayers that will pay the property and land tax until June 30 will benefit from a concession of 15% of the sum. As June 29 and 30 are nonworking days this year, the State Tax Service warns the taxpayers that the given taxes should be paid by June 28, Info-Prim Neo reports. The minimum tax rate on real estate is 0.05%, while the highest one is 0.30% of the market value. A final decision concerning the exact rate will be taken by the local public authorities. In the municipality of Chisinau and the neighboring settlements, the tax was set at 0.05%, as against 0.03% last year. Since the start of this year, the garages, land owned by agricultural associations, the constructions located on farmland and the commercial and industrial buildings have been taxed according to their market value. The houses in rural areas and the farmland will be taxed according to the old system as they haven’t been yet assessed by the Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre and their market value is not known. They will be taxed in accordance with the new method not from 2013, as planned initially, but later, according to the fiscal policy amendments published on the Finance Ministry’s website.
