On the eve of the Nativity of the Lord observed on January 7, a folklore show with Christmas carols and songs will be staged in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau. The performance will feature singers Mihai Ciobanu, Maria Sarabaș, Maria Iliuț & "Crenguță de Iederă", Tudor Ungureanu & "Ștefan Vodă", Marin Ganciu & "Crăițele", etc., IPN reports.
"Starting at 05:00 p.m., in the central square we will bring the winter atmosphere and the charm of the Christmas holidays closer to your hearts," said the Chisinau City Hall.
At 08:00 p.m., the Christmas Fairy concert will begin, with Nelly Ciobanu, Geta Burlacu, Natalia Barbu, Vitalie Dani, Adrian Ursu, Aura, Vlad Fotescu & "Avanti" Orchestra, Catharsis and other beloved artists and bands.
"Come to the central square together with the family and friends. Let's remember the old tradition. Let's sing, dance and fill our souls with joy," urged the City Hall.
In connection with the cultural and artistic events, on Monday, from 04:00 p.m., and until Tuesday, 05:00 a.m., the section of Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd between Pushkin and G. Bănulescu-Bodoni streets will be inaccessible to vehicle traffic. Public transport will be diverted to adjoining streets.
