A number of artists will perform in Chisinau on February 27 to enhance the public's interest for the April 5 parliamentary elections, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the organizer IDIS Viitorul Institute. Aura, Alexa, Natalia Barbu, Onnik, Chocolate, London, Oktavyan, Show ballet Danger and the special guest from Romania -- Claudia (Cream) – will sing in the Oper Theater Square, starting at 18:00. The event called “Wake up and vote!” is non-political. The idea is part of a project on stimulating civic responsibility in the 2009 elections financed by the Delegation of the European Commission to Moldova, through the the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights. The artists will present the unofficial anthem of the race on Ianos Turcanu's lyrics. Similar events occurred in Balti and Cahul later last week.
