Two companies, “SLAVA-GPS” SRL and AO “COM-ETA”, have worked out the concept of a new application intended for engineers and architects. According to the authors, Techcity is designed to facilitate the work of engineers and architects and to fight corruption in the building sector.

In a news conference at IPN, Alexandru Stirbu, the representative of AO “COM-ETA”, said the software can be installed on the mobile phone or PC computer. The engineers and architects will upload their projects into the application, forming thus a database, while the authorities will be able to access these so as to incorporate them into the urban design plan.

“We thought up the concept of the application only. When it is ready, it will enable to maximally optimize the work of functionaries of the City Hall,” said engineer Alexandru Stirbu.

Engineer Veaceslav Plamadeala, director of “SLAVA-GPS” SRL, said the area of activity of engineers and architects should be modernized. The Chisinau City Hall still obliges the specialists in the field to present projects for consideration in accordance with the Soviet model.

“What kind of modernization do we have in the Republic of Moldova? We prepare projects for building homes using outdated equipment in order to obtain an authorization. We presented this concept in a meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council in 2015, but haven’t been yet heard,” stated Veaceslav Plamadeala.

The engineer also said that the Council’s meetings where decisions about the allotment of plots for constructions are taken should involve specialists who would state their expert opinions. Veaceslav Plamadeala called on the local authorities of Chisinau to accept to implement the application Techcity at the City Hall. He also called upon businessmen to financially support the finalization of the application.
