Computers donated to Hancesti boarding school
A new computer room was set up at the boarding school for children with
locomotor impairments in Hancesti town within a project launched by the
Educational Advising Center in cooperation with a mobile phone carrier,
Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqu? from the Center.
The Center’s head Angela Muset said the boarding schools that will be
provided with computers as part of the project were selected together
with the Ministry of Education. After the Ministry identifies the
institution, it is renovated and outfitted with furniture and modern
technical equipment.
Deputy Head of Parliament Liliana Palihovici said that within this
project the disfavored children will be able to use computers and
develop their abilities. This will improve the education process. “I
would like all the children in Moldova to be able to learn the
computer,” said the MP.
A new computer room will be outfitted this year at the boarding school
for blind children and children with visual impairments in Balti within
the project “Use of information technologies in special institutions for
children with physical and sensory impairments”.
The project was initiated in 2008. Until now, there were set up computer
rooms in six special institutions for children in Cahul, Harbovat,
Ialoveni and three institutions in Chisinau.
