Composition of interdepartmental commission for humanitarian aid modified

The Cabinet modified the nominal composition of the interdepartmental commission for humanitarian aid. The decision was taken in the context of the central public administration reform, the change in the names of some ministries and posts in these, IPN reports.

Thus, the commission consists of 23 persons. It will be headed by Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Svetlana Cojocari, while Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health Boris Galca will serve as deputy chairman. The commission includes representatives of most of the ministries and other bodies of the central public administration and of civil society organizations.

The interdepartmental commission for humanitarian aid was instituted to coordinate the cooperation of state institutions and public organizations with donors, to receive and distribute humanitarian assistance, to monitor, analyze and assess the necessities of humanitarian aid, to identify the beneficiaries that need such aid first and foremost and to coordinate the distribution of goods that represent humanitarian assistance transmitted to the state without indicating a concrete recipient.
