Competition for educational policies research scholarships

Young Moldovan researchers, concerned with educational subjects, are invited to apply for individual scholarships, the value of which is three thousand dollars. The application files can be submitted until November 18, IPN reports.

The contest is held by the Soros Foundation-Moldova, with the financial support of the Education Support Program of Open Society Foundations.

The scholarship will be offered for a period of ten months, December 2019 - September 2020, and will be paid in two instalments.

Persons up to 45 years of age, who work in civil society organizations in the education sector, in analytical centers specialized in public policies and in research and educational establishments, are eligible for participation. Also, holders of master’s or doctoral diplomas can participate as well as those who pursue doctoral studies in the country or abroad and study Moldovan educational policies.

The interested persons are invited to submit their CVs and the application file in electronic format to the Director of the Education Support Project, Ana Corețchi: acoretchi@soros.md.

A press release from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research specifies that "educational policies in Moldova require a greater orientation towards enhancing the skills of the graduates of primary, secondary and high school education establishments".
