Igor Munteanu, vice president of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, requested the Competition Council to examine the circumstances in which the work of investor “T.B.Fruit”, which is located on the territory of the Edineț Industrial Park, was blocked. According to the MP, the functioning of a modern juice factory started with a greenfield investment remains blocked because of artificial conflicts and disputes that have lasted for years, IPN reports.

Igor Munteanu said the disputes arouse following the opponents’ request to annul the initial contest and to oblige the foreign company to leave the territory of the Edineț Industrial Park, despite the legislation on the protection of foreign investment and of the fact that the farmers in northern Moldova remain with the fruit harvest in orchards and exports “became more difficult than the building of Babylon”.

In a comment for IPN, the Competition Council said they received no letter so far. If or when the letter comes, it will be registered and transmitted to the division in charge of the signaled problem, which will provide a response within 30 days.
