Competences distributed within City Hall
Competences have been distributed among the leadership of the City Hall, in compliance with an order of the interim mayor. As such, the interim secretary of the Chisinau Municipal Council is empowered to sign financial documents on behalf of local authorities, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the decision, Iordan is in charge with the general activity of the Chisinau City Hall, as well as its departments, divisions and services. He is responsible of the capital’s urban development, the quality of constructions, housing issues, organisation and repairs of living space and interior engineer networks, evidence and utilisation of the housing fund, territory’s sanitation and arrangement services, green spaces, waste disposal, public transportation and road related matters.
Deputy-mayor Petru Svet is in charge with the economic and financial development of the municipality, education system, social assistance, administration of municipal property, trade services, public alimentation, the activity of agricultural and industrial markets.
Healthcare system development, culture, telecommunications, interethnic relations and children’s rights protection are reserved for the competence of the deputy-mayor Alexandru Corduneanu.
The CMC interim secretary Nicolae Manastarli leads the secretariat and is responsible of the legality of draft decisions submitted to CMC. At the same time, he has been entitled to sign financial documents.
According to the decision, in case one of the deputy mayors is absent, his duties would be fulfilled by another deputy mayor. Interim secretary Nicolae Manastarli will assure the control upon fulfillment of the decision’s provisions.
