The executive of ATU Gagauzia decided to allocate over 500,000 lei from the reserve fund for compensating local agricultural companies for the damage suffered as a result of the heavy snowfalls of April 19-21 this year, IPN reports.

The April tempests affected more than 500 hectares of crops in Comrat district, over 600 hectares of crops in Ceadar-Lunga district and over 200 hectares of crops in Vulcanesti district.

The money from the reserve fund of Gagauzia will be allocated in the form of compensations for 61 agricultural organizations. Also, 100,000 lei was allocated for compensating the state-run purebred horses farm “AT-Prolin” for the sustained damage.
