The compensation for energy for November vary will between 300 and 800 lei. The values will be adjusted in case of increases in charges. On Wednesday, the Cabinet approved two bills regarding the social protection of citizens in the 2024-2025 cold season, IPN reports.

The compensation will be granted in the form of a monthly monetary payment. The information system will calculate the compensation for each family individually, based on the data declared by applicants and the information from the related databases. The payments will be transferred directly to the cards of eligible applicants, if they had indicated the IBAN, or could be picked up at post offices in the second half of December.

In order to verify the correctness of data provided by applicants, the "Energy Vulnerability" information system will use official information from a number of institutions, such as the Tax Service, the National Social Insurance House and the General Border Police Inspectorate.

In the course of November, over 703,000 households applied for energy compensation. Applications can be submitted at any time, but compensation will not be awarded retroactively. If the application is submitted after the 28th date of the month, the compensation will be granted starting with the following month.
