The administration of a company that repaired the national road R-20 (Rezina-Orhei) is investigated for appropriating property of about 2 million lei, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to prosecutors, a sum of over 92 million lei was transferred from the national public budget to the given company in 2009-2010 for reconstructing the Rezina-Orhei-Calarasi road. In the work completion documents, the company indicated that it used building materials of a high quality, but in reality it utilized materials of a lower quality. Thus, the value of the performed works – 1,901,200.62 lei – was increased groundlessly. The investigation goes on. The administration of the company and state officials responsible for the supervision of construction works are to be questioned.
