The cabinet approved, on Wednesday, 22 February, the decision regarding the liquidation of the Company Agromecanica-Holding SA. This was the proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure (MII) and Privatisation Agency by the Ministry of Economics and Commerce. Both governmental structures motivated this proposal by presenting information, according to which, during 1997-2005, Agromecanica-Holding did not comply with its tasks at appropriate level. Thus, in 2001- I semester of 2005, according to business-plan, about 2,740 tractors should be produced, in fact being produced with 935 tractors less (65.9%). The share packages of the state in this holding will be managed further by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure. The Company Agromecanica-Holding SA was created on the basis of a government decision in December 1996, by transmitting share packages of the state of the latter one into social capital of SA Tracom, Aralit, Reupies, Radiator, Forjacom, Bicotra, Zidarul-SV, Dotarcom, Presudor şi Mapasauto, these being created by reorganising, during the privatisation process, of the Tractor Plant of Chisinau. According to statute of the Company Agromecanica-Holding SA, its main tasks were to organise to produce agricultural techniques and to manage machine construction branch, to attract profitable investments, and to promote industrial goods on world market etc.
