Up to six companies can carry out marking, asphalting, clean-up and snow removal works on the Chisinau streets this year, if they win the tender contests that will be held by the City Hall. Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca told a news conference on Wednesday that only one company executed all the works so far. More private businesses will be now involved in the repair and maintenance of the streets, Info-Prim Neo reports. The recently founded companies cannot take part in the contest. Dorin Chirtoaca said the volume of works to the value of 15 million lei will be divided into sectors – five in Chisinau and one that will include the suburban roads. The Public Transport and Communications Division will announce tender contests that will be held at the Public Procurement Agency. The tender contests will be held this month. They are open to the companies that meet a number of conditions, including experience in the field and technical capacity.
