Companies take part in training course “HIV/AIDS Policies at Workplace”

Representatives of several companies operating in the center of Moldova, including “Franzeluta” SA, “Ionel” SA, “Artima” SRL, will participate in the training course themed “HIV/AIDS Policies at the Workplace” that will be given in Chisinau on April 3 and 4, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS). The training course is organized by the International Labor Organization’s Code of Practice on HIV/AIDS and the World of Work. The main objective of the seminar is to increase participants’ knowledge about the impact of HIV on the economic development of Moldova and on the active workforce. The course was adapted so that it better explains the role of the private sector in solving HIV/AIDS-related problems at the workplace, including in working out and implementation prophylaxis programs. The main subjects proposed for discussion are: terminology that refers to HIV/AIDS; the transmission ways; the HIV spreading rates in Moldova and the neighboring countries; the impact of HIV on the world of work and the ILO’s answer to this problem; the policies at the workplace and other activities aimed at reducing the potential danger of HIV on the employees and on Moldova’s economy. The training course has been worked out and run in cooperation with facilitators of CMB Training Center.
