Municipal Department for the protection of children’s rights inaugurated one more Community Center for children and youth. The new “Fantastic” Center is located on Lomonosov Street 40/2 in Chisinau’s Ciocana district. According to the head of the Department, Svetlana Chifa, the Center has several rooms where at least 50 children from the region will be instructed. The center has Gyms, Computer Rooms, Board Games Room and other with lots of toys. The sum of money paid for the general reparation of the estate amounted to MDL 509 mln and for the purchase of equipment MDL 57 thousand more were spent. 48 centers, which are visited by 7000 teenagers, work in Chisinau. 18 of them were repaired and put into operation recently. Authorities promise to reopen 4 more centers. In mid September, at the municipal orphanage a maternal center will be opened, where future mothers will be provided with medical, social and psychological assistance.
