Communists will seek to cancel CMC meeting in court

The Communist group in the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) will take legal action to cancel all the decisions adopted at the latest CMC meeting, which they consider unlawful, Info-Prim Neo reports. The group's leader Boris Golovin told a news conference on Tuesday that the Alliance's representatives in the Council held a meeting yesterday at 6:00PM without notifying in a timely manner the Communists and without inviting the press. Golovin said that the Liberals and the Liberal-Democrats, plus the two Socialist councilors who gave them quorum, were to adopt a number of proposals to which the Communists had objections, including the approval of 250 million lei in cuts to social spending. Termocom's reorganization was another issue where the Communists wanted clarifications, including with respect to the appraised cost of the company and the distribution of shares in the reorganized company. “The Communist councilors intend to further firmly oppose this dangerous policy by all available legal means”, stated Boris Golovin.
