Communists Serghei Stati and Eduard Musuc say they will not throw support to other parties
Two of the four Communists who reportedly will support the Liberal-Democratic alliance in voting in the head of state denied that they carry out talks with the Democratic parties, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a news conference on Monday, Serghei Stati said that he feels comfortable in the PCRM and does not intend to support other parties. “The PCRM has a powerful and united team that can govern the country,” he said.
His colleague Eduard Musuc said none of the four persons who are rumored to be supporting the pro-European alliance – Serghei Stati, Veaceslav Botnari, Eduard Musuc and Igor Dodon – would give their votes to this possible alliance.
He also said that a part of the members of the Communist parliamentary group have been contacted by phone by different persons on behalf of Prime Minister Vlad Filat. Some of them were intimidated, while others were promised munificent gifts if they leave the PCRM. Musuc stated that he does not form part of the so-called “list of Plahotniuc”, adding he does not know the businessman personally.
The two members of the PCRM said none of their party colleagues would yield to pressure or would shift their positions.
