Communists Party accuses Government of inability to deal with floods

The Communists Party has announced it will create a commission composed of representatives of civil society and experts that will assess the Filat Government's work during this year's floods, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Government did nothing to prevent the damage and loss of life, Communist lawmakers Igor Dodon and Zinaida Greceanyi told a news conference on July 12. Though this year's floods are not as serious as those of 2008, the present administration is unable to deal with them and did not take steps to prevent them. The barrages were neither checked nor reinforced, the Communist MPs said. Igor Dodon and Zinaida Greceanyi accuse the Filat Government of campaigning, taking advantage of the people's sorrows. “It is cynical and base to lead an electoral campaign and go to the affected areas with public money, dressed in T-shirts with the PLDM's symbols,” Zinaida Greceanyi said. According to Igor Dodon, Stefan Voda and Causeni districts are also exposed to the risk of being flooded as nobody reinforced the barrages there.
