Communists make show, reaction

The Communist Party makes a show, the presidential institution said after the PCRM filed an application to the Prosecutor General’s Office, asking taking legal action over the falsification of the December 16 elections and usurpation of state power, and holding Marian Lupu accountable. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the President’s spokesman Iulian Berco said that Acting President Marian Lupu only launched a call to the lawmakers to show the ballots. Given that such practices have been used in Moldova for several times, the MPs could decide by themselves what to do. Nobody could force them to do something against their will. “We consider the PCRM makes a show and thus chose this way. It seems that they lack ideas and have no useful initiatives for the country by which to assert themselves. Thus, they generate scandals,” said Iulian Berco. In the December 16 elections, most of the MPs showed how they voted before throwing the ballots in the ballot box. Following an application filed by unaffiliated MP Mihai Godea, the Constitutional Court declared the elections unconstitutional because the confidentiality of the vote was violated.
