Communists leave Parliament sitting in protest at decision on CC budget

The communist parliamentary group left the December 12 sitting of Parliament in protest at the draft decision concerning the approval of the budget of the Constitutional Court (CC), IPN reports.

Communist MP Sergiu Stati said the constitutional judges are Romanian citizens and take decisions aimed against the people of Moldova and the country. “They have neither the moral nor the legal right to ask for the taxpayers’ money,” he stated.

The budget of the Constitutional Court in 2014 will be 18.5 million lei. The MPs of the government coalition decided to send back the bill to the competent commission for adding details.
