The Communist MPs are ready to support a candidate for the post of Prime Minister proposed by the Political Alliance for a European Moldova, it is said in a communique issued by the presidential press service after President Nicolae Timofti held consultations with the Communist faction.

In the discussions, the Communist MPs said they decided to assume the role of a constructive parliamentary opposition, IPN reports.

The next consultations with the parliamentary factions will take place on February 14, starting at 10:30am.

President Nicolae Timofti resumed the consultations for identifying a candidate for premiership after Parliament on February 12 didn’t give a vote of confidence to the Cabinet and the government program proposed by candidate Iurie Leanca.
