Communists announce mass protests March 16
The Communist Party is announcing large-scale protests for March 16, when Parliament is due to meet for yet another attempt to elect a President, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In particular, the Communists plan a massive procession to protest against the “illegal attempt” to hold presidential elections and to demand the resignation of the Eurointegration Alliance and the dissolution of Parliament.
Speaking to the crowd that gathered at the already traditional Saturday anti-government rally, Communist leader Vladimir Voronin urged his supporters to invite friends and family to join the march.
“Regardless of weather they elect a president or not, we will show them that what they do is absolutely illegitimate, we will show them that Parliament has lost all its constitutional legitimacy”, declared Voronin.
