Communist MPs will be alone at inauguration

The Opposition parties will not participate in the festive ceremony that will be held on Saturday at the Government House to hand over permits to the fresh MPs. The 60 Communist MPs will alone take their permits and will clink glasses of champagne between them, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We will not take part in the ceremony. We will take the permits by ourselves, not in their presence. We do not want to be together with them,” the president of the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) Serafim Urecheanu said. “We will not go to the ceremony because we do not want to participate in a scenario planned by the Communists: that the elections are over and we should go on no matter what ... No! Do they want to celebrate vote rigging? They can do it with champagne and enjoyment!” said the leader of the Liberal Party (PL) Mihai Ghimpu. He also said that the MPs of the PL will take their permits some other time and will attend the first sitting of the Parliament scheduled for May 5. The president of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) Vlad Filat said that the leaders of the three parties will hold a news conference tomorrow to explain their decision. On April 22, the Constitutional Court validated the seats of the 101 MPs elected on April 5: 60 seats will be held by the PCRM, by 15 by the PL and PLDM and 11 by AMN.
