Communist MPs lecture Speaker
The members of the parliamentary group of the PCRM expressed their dissatisfaction with the fact that the Parliament’s sitting set to begin at 14.00 started 20 minutes later, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The sitting did not start in time because Vladimir Voronin lacks character and did not come to officially announce his resignation in the Parliament, but preferred to inform about his decision in written form,” Speaker Mihai Ghimpu explained.
The Communist MP Grigore Petrenco told Ghimpu that he must admit that not all the 53 members of the Alliance for European Integration were in the hall at 14.00 and he should not look for excuses. Eduard Musuc, MP of the PCRM, asked Ghimpu not to behave in the same way as in the Chisinau Municipal Council.
The sitting’s agenda includes the election of the members of the permanent parliamentary commissions and the examination of Vladimir Voronin’s decision to resign as head of state. Most probably, the Head of Parliament will take over as Moldova’s acting president also today.
