Communist MPs demand immediately recalling Moldova’s Ambassador in Bucharest
The Communist parliamentary group asked immediately recalling Moldova’s Ambassador to Romania. The reaction came after Iurie Renita said in an interview that he is Romanian, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The so-called ambassador in Bucharest must be recalled. Iurie Renita said he was a Romanian citizen. Whose interests does he safeguard – of the Moldovans or of the Romanians?” Communist MP Sergiu Stati asked in Friday’s sitting of the legislature.
The lawmaker demanded that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca should be called to Parliament to say if the statements made by Iurie Renita are an improvisation or represent the policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
In reply to the Communist MPs’ demand, Liberal lawmaker Valeriu Saharneanu made an invitation to the theater. “Today, there will be presented the play ”Dog Heart”. I recommend that you see it,” he told the Communist lawmakers.
Recently, Moldova’s Ambassador in Bucharest gave an interview for Radio Liberty Romania, saying he speaks Romanian, his parents were born Romanian and thus he is also Romanian.
