Communist MP Muntean: Ask Lupu about April 7
The Communist lawmakers regard with skepticism the request of the Prosecutor General's Office to lift the parliamentary immunity of the former head of state and leader of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“It is a kind of hysteria before the election campaign. The people do not know who is to blame for the April 7 events. Ask Lupu,” said the PCRM's executive secretary Iurie Muntean.
According to Muntean, Marian Lupu and the then Opposition would have agreed to provoke the violent April 7 events.
Marian Lupu refused to comment on the accusations made by his former faction colleague, but said it is an ugly gesture.
The bill on lifting the parliamentary immunity of Vladimir Voronin will be examined in Parliament in the September 24 sitting.
