The Communist parliamentary group left the April 7 sitting of the legislative body after the parliamentary majority decided to force Communist lawmaker Alexandru Petcov out, Info-Prim Neo reports. The heated discussions between the government and the opposition started after Alexandru Petcov named the employees of the Ministry of Education 'idiots' because the institution decided to close several schools. Liberal MP Mihai Ghimpu proposed that the Communist lawmaker should be turned out for insult and the parliamentary majority accepted the proposal. The Communist MPs barred access to the central rostrum in protest. After a ten-minute break, they demanded that the sitting be adjourned until Friday. As their request was not granted, they left the assembly hall.
