Communist faction to re-appear in Parliament Monday

The parliamentary faction of the Communist Party will join on Monday, June 28, the special meeting in Parliament. Communist MP Iurie Muntean has told Info-Prim Neo the parliamentary opposition will be re-appear in the assembly hall, after a sixteen-week boycott, “because it's high time for us to defend the motherland”. “What the Alliance is doing, with the hands of Ghimpu, clearly shows that a fascist oligarchy emerged in Moldova having four components – Ghimpu, Lupu, Filat and Urecheanu”, declared Iurie Muntean. He believes Ghimpu's decision to declare June 28 as a day of Soviet occupation wasn't at all unilateral. “Ghimpu always coordinates his moves with the Alliance for European Integration. It is obvious that Lupu and others, including Filat, got scared when they saw the reaction of the people and now they try to accuse Ghimpu”. Other Communist sources said that with the return of the Communist faction, a majority will form to block whatever decision on June 28. A statement authored by Communist leader Vladimir Voronin and posted on the party's website encourages the Communist MPs to return into Parliament and “become the guarantor of the irreversibility of Moldovan democracy”. “It is time that this coward and laggard quartet governing Moldova stopped blaming each other. It is time for them to face a reply”, reads the statement. On June 28 Parliament is due to hold an extraordinary meeting to hear a report on the totalitarian communist regime, to consider amendments to the Law on Political Parties and a proposal to annul the National Policy Conception.
