Communisis will not have candidates in constituencies outside Moldova

The Party of Communists will not have candidates in the single-member constituencies established outside the country, the party’s leader Vladimir Voronin announced. He said the party will also not have candidates in some of the constituencies in Moldova, IPN reports.

The politician noted the citizens will have to supervise the MPs whom they will elect. He considers the voters who settled abroad will not come and demand that the MP should ensure efficiency. “The people will mandate the government and this is not a simple mandate. They will entrust the government to these persons and these will govern in the name of the people,” stated Vladimir Voronin.

According to him, the CEC announced that about 25,000 voters from the diaspora registered beforehand to take part in the elections. However, over 650,000 ballots will be sent to the polling places established abroad. “If only 25,000 voters registered to take part in the elections, why should they send 650,000 ballots?” asked the Communist leader.

Vladimir Voronin does not rule out the possibility that a lot of cases of falsification will take place in the upcoming elections.
