Communication web platform on biomass energy launched

The Energy Efficiency Agency (EEA) and the EU-UNDP Moldova Energy and Biomass Project have designed a communication web platform on biomass energy, (www.biomasa.aee.md), Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to EEA director Mihai Stratan, the portal will contain all kind of information about biomass energy, including figures and facts about the potential of biomass energy in Moldova, studies and novelties in the field, communication materials and success stories.
The website also includes an interactive map with detailed information about the investments of the Energy and Biomass Project in the installation of biomass heating systems at rural public institutions in Moldova. The information is available in Romanian and English.
The four-year Moldova Energy and Biomass Project will be implemented during 2011-2014. The total budget of the project is €14.56 million, which was provided by the European Union (€14 million) and UNDP Moldova (€560,000).
