The children in the kindergartens of Chisinau have been fed according to a common menu since the start of this year. The Chisinau City Hall said such a move will help to increase the efficiency of public procurement and to optimally use the financial resources, IPN reports.

In concert with the National Food Safety Agency and the Chisinau Public Health Center, the local authorities will design an infographic concerning the organization of alimentation in education institutions so that those interested familiarize themselves with the stages of the process.

The General Education, Youth and Sport Division drafted regulations that define the method of executing and supervising the contracts for the public procurement of food products and the process of feeding children in early education institutions in the municipality of Chisinau so as to facilitate the procedures and monitoring of procurement contracts and their execution.

Until January 28, the managers of preschool education institutions by an online questionnaire will report all the irregularities and difficulties met in the process of implementing the common menu. These will be solved by the municipality in concert with business entities and the responsible institutions.
