As from February 1, the children in the kindergartens of Chisinau will be fed according to a common menu. This is healthier, more varied, with fresh fruit and with less sugar, while the portion corresponds to the needs of the children’s age, deputy mayor Angela Kutasevich stated in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, IPN reports.

“The model menu is varied and the dishes to not repeat during the day and the week. The quantity of sugar was reduced,” stated the official. The served butter contains 72.5% of fat. The unrefined sunflower oil is used only to season salads. Two times a week, the children will be served fish fillet.

Mayor General Ion Ceban proposed that unplanned inspections should be carried out to determine the quality of products and see how the menu is implemented. He also asked to engage municipal councilors and experts from the field in the checks. A report on the issue is to be presented until March 31.
