The household and non-household customers in Chisinau will pay a common charge of 10.79 lei/m3 for the public drinking water supply service, as the National Agency for Energy Regulation decided. The new charge is by 0.33 lei/m3 lower than the current charge for household consumers and by 2.50 lei/m3 lower than the current charge for non-household customers, IPN reports.
According to the Agency, preconditions appeared for excluding cross subsidization and approving a common charge for the public drinking water supply service.
As regards the public sewerage service, the Agency decided to maintain for now the differentiated charges for household and non-household customers so as not to place a burden on household users.
The National Agency for Energy Regulation approved the following sewerage charges:
- 4.18 lei/m3 for household customers;
- 10.16 lei/m3 for non-household customers.
The charge for the public technological water supply service is 8.11 lei/m3.
The new charges take effect when they are published in the Official Gazette.
