The congress to constitute the Common Action Civic Congress Party was scheduled for December 8. This is to adopt the party’s program and statutes and to elect its collective administration.
Contacted by IPN, Mark Tkachuk, one of the members of the initiative group, said the registration documents will be submitted to the Public Services Agency after the congress. The party will not have a president. It will be managed by representatives of the collective administration who will be in charge of areas. The new party, of the left, already has over 20 local organizations.
Under the program, the party aims to swiftly and radically change the whole system of public relations where the modernized economy would ensure the continuous human development. Also, the party struggles to realize and extend the social rights and freedoms of the absolute majority of citizens of the Republic of Moldova, supporting the initiatives and groups of civil society. The policy of this party has based on such values as social justice, solidarity and humanism, the scientific conception of the world and critical analysts.
The congress will take place at the Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel starting at 11am.
According to the Public Services Agency, 61 political parties have been registered in Moldova so far.
