Commission set up to organize vote on dismissal of Marian Lupu

A commission for organizing the secret vote on the dismissal of Head of Parliament Marian Lupu was created at the proposal of the Communist faction, IPN reports. Communist lawmaker Artur Reshetnicov said that Marian Lupu must be discharged because he undermined democracy and the rule of law.

The commission consists of Communist MPs Igor Vremea, Zinaida Chistruga and Gheorghe Anghel, Liberal-Democratic lawmakers Valeriu Ghiletchi and Iurie Chirescu, and the Democratic MP Alexandru Stoianoglo. Liberal MP Valeriu Munteanu said the Liberals never voted together with the Communists and will not take part in this vote. But Ion Hadarca said the Liberal faction designated Vadim Vacarciuc to work on the commission.

The lawmakers took a break to choose the commission’s chairman and to prepare the voting procedure.
