The Commission for Exceptional Situations on May 14 will come together for the last meeting given that the state of emergency is to be lifted on May 15. The Commission is to adopt the last decisions, including concerning the maintaining of restrictive measures, IPN reports.
At the beginning of the Government’s meeting, Prime Minister Ion Chicu said the fact that the state of emergency ends does not mean that the sanitary-epidemiological measures are annulled. On the contrary, they will be maintained. Their eventual lifting will be decided depending on the evolution of the pandemic, by the decision of the National Extraordinary Commission for Public Health.
The state of emergency in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic was instituted on March 17.
