The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology issued a new envelope with fixed stamp “100 years of the birth of theater and film actors”. The envelope was put into circulation by the state-owned company “Posta Moldovei” (“Moldova’s Post Office”) on January 17, IPN reports.

The envelope commemorates actors of the State Dramatic Theater “A.S.Pushkin”, who are considered titans of the theater culture owing to their successful performances on the stage of this theater in 1950 -1970, namely Chiril Stirbu (1915-1997), Victor Gherlac (1915-2007), Arcadie Placinta (1915-1995), and Mefodie Apostolov (1915-2004).

The design works were performed by painter Oleg Cojocari. The envelope with fixed stamp has a nominal value of 1.75 lei and was issued in a number of 10,000 copies.
