The commemoration ceremony of the soldiers, who died in the fight for freeing Moldova from the fascist’s occupation, with the motto „Beyond silence”, will take place at the Memorial Centre „ Head of Bridge Serepeni” on the August 22. The ceremony will begin at half past nine with a program of thematic music performed by the Presidency Orchestra. After a theatrical prologue, a religious ceremony will take place at 10.50, followed by a moment of silence and ceremonial gunshots at ten minutes past ten. Flowers will be brought to the grave of the Unknown Soldier and the Commemorative Plates at 11.25, after which the war veterans will go to Nistru River with festoons and garlands of flowers. The thematic show „ The Memory from within us” will start at 11.40. In the program, The Veterans Chorus and the Winners of the Festival „ Faith, Hope and Love” and the Credo orchestra of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are included. The Minister of Culture and Tourism declared on August 21 at a press conference that at the commemorating events the veterans of the Romanian Army will be invited. The minister rejected the accusations regarding the preferential attitude of the authorities towards the veterans of the Soviet Army.
