The coming into force of the Association Agreement represents a new stage in the history of Moldova and the government must make sure that the document is implemented so as to ensure the people’s welfare, said experts invited to the program “Reply” on Prime TV channel, IPN reports.
Democratic MP Valentina Buliga considers the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU will restore the population’s support for the European integration. “The people had exaggerated expectations, but reforms are not done overnight. The geopolitical crises diminished the people’s option for European integration. We now must see where we were wrong and implement the document so as to ensure the people’s welfare,” she said.
MP Valeriu Giletski said the Association Agreement represents a new start for the Republic of Moldova. “A foundation stone was laid. The implementation of the provisions must lead to an improvement in the quality of life,” he stated.
Unaffiliated MP Sergiu Stati said emphasis should be placed on Moldova’s modernization. “I suggest concentrating on the modernization of the Republic of Moldova, which is a process to which all the parties adhere. We need to create an economic platform, to find possibilities and to modernize the Republic of Moldova,” he noted.
