Colonel in reserve named adviser to Ghimpu
Lilian Salaru was appointed as adviser with special assignments to Acting President Mihai Ghimpu by presidential decree, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the presidential press service.
Lilian Salaru, 42, studies for a master’s degree at the Business Management Department of the Academy of Economic Sciences. He has served with state institutions for 26 years. Until recently, he headed the Strategic Planning Division of the Ministry of Defense.
The new adviser with special assignments is a colonel in reserve. He carried out a number of studies concerning international cooperation, military and peacekeeping operations and others.
Valeriu Rusu, the head of the presidential press service, stated for Info-Prim Neo that Lilian Salaru is related neither to Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Anatol Salaru, who is the vice president of the Liberal Party, nor to Minister of the Environment Gheorghe Salaru.
