Collective employment contracts will be signed for more than a year

The collective employment contracts could not be signed for a period shorter than one year. The parliamentarians passed this amendment to the Labour Code in first reading on November 29. Another modification says that the individual work contact can be terminated before the term of 14 calendar days expires, as the present Code stipulates, by the written consent of the parties. At the same time, the administrator of the company, the deputy heads and the chief accountant have the right to resign before the contract expires, but they should inform the employer one month beforehand. The employers will be obliged to give the persons that donated blood on the day before the rest day one more free day after the rest days by maintaining the average salary. On the other hand, the employees will be deprived of the right to ask the employers to solve problems related to labour protection. The bill passed in first reading also envisages the reduction of the term for submitting applications for solving conflicts at work from one year to six months. The commission for social protection, family and health said it will demand that the last two provisions be excluded from the bill.
