The socially deprived families will receive a higher cold-month allowance as of this November, IPN reports, with reference to a bill approved by the Cabinet.
Thus, the financial assistance provided to these families will represent 350 lei a month, up 35 lei. The decision was taken in a move to offset the rise in the prices of energy resources.
About 5.5 million lei will be allocated monthly for providing higher allowances.
In Moldova, there are over 158,000 families that benefit from assistance in the cold period of the year.
