Codruț returns to Presidential Palace

The dog named Codruț, sheltered at the Presidential Palace, got scared of fireworks on New Year's Eve, ran away from the yard and got lost in the center of the capital city. It was found by a woman, who photographed him and posted the announcement on social media. From her post, it was clear that she did not know who the dog was, but, after she published the information, the dog could be brought back to the Presidential Palace.

Spokesman for the President’s Office Igor Zakharov said that "Codruț was frightened by the sound of fireworks and fled from the courtyard of the Presidential Palace. Luckily, it's good that Facebook exists and colleagues quickly found him nearby, and now he's well, happy and safe in his place."

Zakharov warned that fireworks affect animals and that the story involving Codruț underlines the importance of being responsible and becoming aware of the negative effect of pyrotechnics.
