Meteorologists have issued a code yellow advisory for atmospheric instability, in effect until Thursday morning.
The State Hydrometeorological Service expects torrential thunderstorms (15-25 l/m2 ) with hail and gusty winds of up to 15-20 m/s in parts of the country.
Air temperatures will suddenly cool down from +36 degrees Celsius during Wednesday to +23 degrees Celsius during Thursday. From July 28, air temperatures will gradually warm up again.
A code yellow advisory is issued whenever weather conditions are potentially hazardous; when the forecasted meteorological phenomena are not uncommon for Moldova, but may temporarily pose threats to socio-economic activities.
