The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry plans to implement a complex plan of actions of legislative and organizational nature for redressing the water resources in Moldova. The drawing up of the draft law on waters, which will replace the Code on waters, and a Government’s draft decision regarding certain measures to improve the activity of the fish breeding field and to establish the way of using the ponds, are to be expected among these plans. Moreover, it is planned to found the State Enterprise for Production of Biological Resources “Acvacultura - Moldova”, which will coordinate the fish breeding field. As many as 3915 aquatic facilities that are used for growing fish, irrigation of agricultural lands, technical needs and aggregation are registered at the territorial cadastral bodies in the country at present.
